Transferring Into the Nursing Program
To qualify for transfer into the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Nursing Program a student must:
- have successfully completed at least one semester of an accredited RN program, from within the VCCS system. Only coursework completed at an VCCS program will be considered for credit at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s nursing program.
- be in good standing at their current school and have a letter of recommendation from their Dean.
- meet all current Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ program requirements.
- have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
- complete a transfer interview with the Dean of Nursing or designee.
Admission is not guaranteed. An applicant who has been out of a nursing program for over one calendar year must apply as a new student. 25% of the degree must be completed at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ, therefore transfer for only the last semester is not allowed.
