PHY 241听-听University Physics I (4 CR.)
Covers classical mechanics and thermodynamics. Includes kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, work, energy, momentum, rotational kinematics, dynamics and static equilibrium, elasticity, gravitation, fluids, simple harmonic motion, calorimetry, ideal gas law, and the laws of thermodynamics. Part I of II.听This is a UCGS transfer course.

听 Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): MTH 263 听with a grade of C or better.
Please Note: Credit will not be awarded for both听PHY 241: University Physics I and听PHY 231: General University Physics I.
